Personalized Service. When you travel with Mountain Odyssey you are dealing with me, owner and guide, and my friend Pemba, from the beginning to the end of your trip. We will be at your service.

Health and Safety. Your health and safety are our highest priorities. All itineraries are planned to allow for your proper acclimatization. Our staff is fully trained in western standards of hygiene and are genuinely concerned in your welfare and I am trained in advanced first-aid.

Small, Intimate Groups. In keeping with my mission statement, I prefer to keep my groups small (approximately 6-10). This is the best and most intimate way to experience the culture we are passing through. With a smaller group it is possible to stop and visit the home of Sherpa friends or ask the lama of a monastery to perform a puja for the group. In this atmosphere, it is also quite common for long-term friendships to develop among team members.

High Value. I pride myself on first-class service offered at a competitive price, rather than expensive color catalogs and a large office staff, I prefer to share the profits with my Sherpa staff and let you take your own great photos!

Tent Camping. With a group of 6 or more, I always tent camp. This way we have much greater control over our environment. This is especially important when it comes to your health and hygiene. It also gives us much more freedom to leave the beaten path behind and explore far beyond the teahouses.

Custom-Crafted Adventures. I am constantly exploring new trails and hidden valleys looking for quiet out-of-the-way places that most groups miss. This allows you to experience not only the more popular areas along the trail, but also to enjoy the solitude of the seldom seen corners of the Himalaya.

Staff. Pemba and I personally hire our Sherpa staff, insuring that they are always honest, friendly and clean. We, in turn, treat them with the respect and fairness they deserve.

Equipment. I use North Face tents on our treks and climbs. If you've ever spent an entire night sponging up water on the floor of a leaky tent, you'll appreciate this.

Private Trips. I offer customized, private trips for groups of six or more. Call me with your ideas and I'll do the rest!
