"At the Well"
From the 1994 American Twin Peaks Expedition, Tibet. I came across this scene in the courtyard of the Jokhang temple, holiest shrine in Tibet in the heart of Lhasa. We were enroute to climb the Tibetan giants, Shisha Pangma and Cho Oyu. Visits to the monestaries are often highlights of my expeditions and I can't resist painting their inhabitants. I love the quiet, peaceful atmosphere and the people dwelling within these ancient buildings.
